I have a 2000 Trans Am and Im having a problem getting gas into the car. I recently had the EVAP purge valve replaced because anytime i tried to put gas in the car it wouldnt take any at all. seems that the vent valve was stuck shut. now the problem i am having is that when the CEL comes on i cant put gas in it. but if the light is not on it takes gas normally. i had the PCM scanned and the only code it is giving me is a P0440 Evap system problem. anyone have any ideas on this?? any suggestions would be appreciated. was thinking about replacing the EVAP purge solenoid on the intake. all lines at the tank are good. when i replaced the vent valve i made sure to check everything because you have to drop the tank out of the car to even access the EVAP system.
